Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) is a two-year diploma program in nursing, designed to prepare healthcare professionals who play a crucial role in delivering primary and maternal care, especially in rural and underserved areas. ANMs provide holistic, accessible, equitable, affordable, and quality healthcare and are trained to be sensitive, responsive, and accountable to the needs of the communities they serve.

ANMs are predominantly involved in maternal and child health services. They assist women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period, ensuring essential care for both mothers and newborns.
